I am excited to announce that I have submitted my second application to the Apple Store for the iPod, iPhone and iPad devices… Gridsquare.

Gridsquare is an application designed for the roving Amateur Radio operator. It will display to them the current maidenhead grid square locator, the current UTC and Local time, their current location on a map and their current city, state and county, something that has been missing from a rovers arsenal for a long time.

It is our hopes that Gridsquare will enable Amateur Radio operators to more precisely know their location, to be able to report their county when in the past they could not and encourage those who do not rove, to begin trying this fun and exciting aspect of the hobby!
